Lisa Flanagan, Goalie Coach

Certification: USA Hockey Level 5 (CEP# 152812)

Lisa earned her USA Hockey Master Level Coaching Certification in 2000. Her coaching duties have included the Rocky Mountain Coaching Staff, from 1999 until 2006, as well as being the Assistant Coach for Team Rocky Mountain in the Chicago Showcase Tournament for two of those seven years. 

  

Among her other accomplishments, she attended a coaching workshop with the National Coaching Staff in Lake Placid, New York in 2002, and then again in 2004. She coached for the Texas Player Development Program (Texas PDP) 2004-2007. She coached the HERricane U19 Tier 1 team for six years. In addition, she coached a AAA Tier II girl’s team, the Texas Blaze. In 1998 Lisa was a co-coach with TC Lewis for Elkins High School when the ISHL first began. Lisa was the Hockey Director of the Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex, now Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center, from 1996 - 2008. Also, Lisa was on the (Aerodrome), Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center’s coaching staff from 1994-2007, and introduced a weekly goalie clinic, which began in 1997 and ran until 2006. For the past two seasons, Lisa has been an assistant coach for an ISHL prep team.

 

Currently Lisa is working at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center’s pro shop as well as coaching hockey classes. As a youth, she played for the Mississauga Indians as well as prep school hockey as a goalie in Toronto, Canada for Branksome Hall. Lisa is married and has two (2) daughters, 28 and 26.
