USA Hockey Weekend across America (HWAA) – February 18

On Saturday, February 18th at 3:40 pm to 4:40 there will be a free session of youth hockey for those new to the sport, equipment will be provided, at Space City Ice Station. The upcoming event is the 5th year for Hockey Weekend across America (HWAA) as a way to promote hockey awareness in the community and for all those who haven't tried playing the game before. Take advantage of USA Hockey's promotion and enter the contests mentioned at their website, which should be great fun for all. Please visit HWAA to pre-register and for more information. Please arrive by 3:00 pm to allow time to check in and to get on equipment.

Pro Ambitions camp - in June

For those looking for a hockey camp, Space City Ice Station will be hosting the Pro Ambitions Hockey Camp. The camp will be in June. There are brochures available at the rink. Please register at the Pro Ambitions website by clicking here.

The "Shed"

As many of you know, the Hounds have a used equipment shed. We take in used equipment that still has a lot of ice time left in it and find it a home with a new or younger player. The shed helps to offset the cost of hockey in more ways than one, but primarily it makes it more affordable for parents to suit up their players. Our shed is one of a kind here in Houston and we have been doing this since 2004, but we can't do it without your help. Please look through your gear, if there is something your player has grown out of (skates, pads, pants, helmets, sticks, bags, etc) you can drop it at the rink (marked for BAHHA) or email BAHHA. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Adult sized equipment is also accepted.

Did you know that Hounds Hockey has a message board? Click here to view. This is a discussion forum for youth and adults. There is also a thread there for Classified. To view posts you do not need a login, but to post you do need a login. Just follow the instructions on the site to acquire a login.

Kroger Share Card Renewal

BAHHA has reenrolled in the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor program. Print out and present the attached letter with the BAHHA organization barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your KrogerPlus Card you will be enrolled for the current year with the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases. You only need to show the attached letter to your cashier once to register. It is good for one year.
