Fall 2008 Hounds Met Coaches
The Bay Area Houston Hockey Association is pleased to welcome (or welcome back) the following Met League coaches for the 2008-2009 season:

Fall 2008-2009 Travel Team Coaches
All of these coaches bring a wealth of hockey knowledge and experience to their teams. Each has coached at multiple levels and has many years of hockey experience.
BAHHA Welcomes Our Fall 2008-09 Travel Coaches:
Adam Jordan will be Head Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Midget Minor Team. His background:
- From Bowling Green, Ohio
- Past Assistant Coach of the Brook-Creek Varsity Team
- Youth Travel Hockey Head Coach: Squirt AA, Peewee A Bantam A
- Certified level 4 USA hockey coaching education program
- Current Leader, Camp Instructor for Planet Hockey Camps
Dave King will Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Midget Minor Team. His background:
- Born in Toronto, Canada
- Has over 30 years of playing experience and has coached with the BAHHA organization from Squirt through Midget
- Has won several Championships
- Has been Head Coach of the Clear Lake High School hockey team for the last four years
John Ashworth will be Head Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Bantam Travel Team. His background:
- 2007-08 BAHHA Bantam Travel - Head Coach (2007-08 record 14 Wins – 6 Losses)
- 2005-06 Junior Aeros Bantam Travel – Assistant Coach
- 2005-06 JV Prep – Assistant Coach
- Extensive experience as hockey player (AAA, Juniors, Division 1 NCAA) and coach (currently a USA hockey level 3)
- Actively involved in hockey in both the USA and Canada from youth to NHL level for many years
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Graduate degree in Biblical Studies
- 45 years of experience within the game
- Adhere to a strong philosophy of improving the players game and just as importantly the development of their character
Gordon Gamble will be Assistant Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Bantam Travel Team. His background:
- Born in Edmonton, Alberta
- Has over 50 years of playing experience
- Has played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Western Canada Major Junior League and the Southwest Professional Hockey League
- Was assistant coach for the Edmonton Junior "B" Team
Mark Robertson will be Assistant Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Bantam Travel Team. His background:
- Born outside Toronto in 1964
- Started playing hockey at age 4
- Was playing AAA Major Atom (Peewee) when he moved to Texas
- Played pick up hockey on and off until 2003 when he started playing in the OHL and the Afterburners
- Started coaching in 2003 with the BAHHA Squirt Met team
- 2003-Present has been Head Coach or Assistant Coach for BAHHA every Summer & Fall
- 2007-08 BAHHA Bantam Travel - Assistant Coach (First Time Coaching a Travel Team)
Justin Popoff will be Head Coach for the Fall 2008-09 Peewee Travel Team. His background:
- Has played hockey for fourteen years including highschool and Junior B
- Has been a referee for 10 years
- Is a Level 3 Certified USA Hockey Coach
- Has coached for 10 years mostly in the house league as assistant coach, head coach & goalie coach
- 2006-07 & 2007-08 Jr Aeros A Squirt Team Assistant Coach
- Has a goal to be part of a team that will be fair and successful both on and off the ice
